• If an Elements instruction 'calls' a given Mac or Win procedure and that procedure is changed or missing in an update of Mac or Win, that won't work. Bottom line: don't expect Elements 2018 to be fully compatible with an OS version using new procedures unknown to Elements programmers by the time 2018 was issued.
• Photoshop Elements 2020 is a better version of an already polished product. There's a stigma with Elements that it is a stripped version of Photoshop. While it doesn't have all the advanced features, you can really do a lot with Photoshop Elements, and with Elements 2020, you can do even more.

I am running High Sierra macOS 10.13.6 on both my iMac and MacBook Pro. Have had a bad time with Photoshop Elements 14 crashing on the MacBook Pro. Recently started working a lot with PSE14 on the iMac and now the same thing is happening, it crashes there, too.

I just installed a new hard drive on my MacBook Pro, an SSD drive. I then installed Mac OS X High Sierra. I had been using Photoshop Elements 10 (Editor only version) prior to this upgrade. When I try to start Elements 10, it won't start. A pop-up comes up stating that Elements cannot continue d.

My thought is to move to PSE 18 although I think there is a PSE 15, too. I tried Photoshop CC for a while but this is not the time for me to switch.

Where can I look to read about High Sierra users experience with PSE 18 or PSE 15? There's no point switching if those are having crash issues, too.

Appreciate any information anyone has about this.
